ALYSSA BONAGURA

Alyssa Bonagura is a Nashville-born singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for her genre-blurring music that blends country storytelling, rock & roll energy, and cinematic Brit-pop influences. A lifelong road warrior, Alyssa grew up on tour buses with her parents, the leaders of the Billboard-charting country band Baillie & the Boys, and recorded a duet with Kenny Rogers at just 10 years old.

Her early life in music led to a home studio with her father, where she began recording her own songs as a teenager. By 16, she was opening national tours for Marty Stuart and working as a session singer for artists including Matt Maher and Vince Gill. A classically trained pianist and multi-instrumentalist, Alyssa’s talents span guitar, mandolin, bass, drums, and more, giving her the tools to fully realize her artistic vision.

Alyssa studied sound technology at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in England, earning her diploma from co-founder Sir Paul McCartney. While in the UK, she opened for Ringo Starr, performed at Glastonbury Festival, and toured with Raul Malo of The Mavericks, absorbing British pop and folk influences that continue to shape her songwriting.

Her solo career includes critically acclaimed albums such as The English Diaries (2010), Love Hard (2012), Road Less Traveled (2016), and New Wings (2021). Alyssa’s songs have been featured in commercials, recorded by artists like Steven Tyler, and co-written for acts including Jessie James Decker, Nelson, Jana Kramer, Sarah Jarosz, and Jo Dee Messina. She was also part of The Sisterhood Band, a major-label country duo that toured UK stadiums opening for Rod Stewart.

With New Wings, created during the pandemic, Alyssa embraced a genre-jumping sound encompassing country, folk, R&B, and pop. Produced through virtual collaborations with Davis Naish, Tom Jordan, and Tawgs Salter, the album reflects her life-long themes of struggle, survival, and transformation, showcasing Alyssa Bonagura as a fearless, multidimensional artist whose music is as expansive as her journey.
