IMPORTANT CAMPING FIELD NOTICE – OPEN FLAMES, BBQs & COOKING RESTRICTIONS

Following a meeting with the landowner, and in line with guidance from Essex Fire and Rescue Service, we have had to introduce restrictions on the use of open flames, BBQs, camping stoves, and cooking equipment within the camping field at Country Calling 2026.

Due to the recent dry spell and the current condition of the ground, the area is exceptionally dry and the risk of fire is significantly increased. We appreciate that cooking at your campsite is an important part of the festival experience, and this is not a decision that has been taken lightly. However, the safety of our guests, staff, neighbouring land, wildlife, and the surrounding countryside must always come first.

Breakfast will be available on site from 8:00am at Caffè Nero for fresh baked goods, pastries, coffee, and other hot drinks. From 9:00am, Shirlz Diner will be serving a range hot breakfasts baps.

We ask all campers to respect these restrictions and not to use BBQs, disposable BBQs, fire pits, open flames, or any other cooking equipment that creates a fire risk within the camping field while these measures are in place.

Live-in vehicles (including motorhomes and campervans) with permanently installed cooking appliances are exempt from these restrictions and may continue to use their built-in cooking facilities responsibly.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. By working together, we can help keep Country Calling 2026 safe and enjoyable for everyone.
