TYLER HALVERSON

Tyler Halverson is a rising alt-country artist known for his raw honesty, rugged storytelling, and unapologetic approach to life on the road. Hailing from Canton, South Dakota, Halverson grew up between sale barns and skate parks, a unique upbringing that informs the gritty, authentic sound of his music.

His latest project, In Defense of Drinking, is a candid exploration of love, loss, self-reflection, and life as a modern-day troubadour. Produced alongside Ryan Youmans and Gary Stanton of Muscadine Bloodline at Amber Sound in Hermitage, Tennessee, the album captures Halverson’s signature blend of country, alt-rock, and Western influences, including standout tracks like “More Hearts Than Horses,” “Ft. Worth Losing,” and the reimagined fan favorite “Beer Garden Baby” featuring Parker McCollum.

Having spent time traveling and performing throughout the American West and Texas, Halverson draws inspiration from the road, rodeo bars, and the lives of the people he meets along the way. Songs like “Like a Rodeo,” featuring Australian country artist Wade Forster, showcase his ability to capture fleeting romance and restless ambition with an alt-country edge.

Halverson’s music is a reflection of his life—sometimes reckless, sometimes introspective—but always authentic. With a fearless embrace of both the good and the bad, Tyler Halverson is carving a space in contemporary country for artists who aren’t afraid to show themselves exactly as they are.
